Formada Maravilha
Teacher in Auroville
Graduated in 2020 during Ginga Saroba’s event, Formada Maravilha has been learning Capoeira with Prof. Samuka da India since 2010.
She is the main teacher of Ginga Saroba, offering her knowledge since 2015.
Coelho
Teacher in Chennai
Since the start, Coelho has been a positive and enthusiastic member of the family. Dedicated student living 130 km away from Auroville, he would regularly visit to learn.
In 2019, motivated to have people training with him in Chennai, he started teaching in the big city with the support of Samuka da India.
Quebra Cocô
Teacher in Auroville
The youngest of our member but one of the most dedicated.
Strong as a concrete pillar, he teaches in Auroville along with Maravilha and replaces Samuka da India when out of station.
Monitor Tranquilo

Tranquilo first learned to Ginga with the group Capoeira Brazil in Pune (India) & still learns with them. But, once in a while he comes to visit for several months…
He first joined the Ginga Saroba family in 2012 and helped with the classes. Teaching since 2015, he organized classes for kids in Udhayam, a social center in the Kottakarai village.
Aranha
Teacher
One of Samuka’s first students, he started learning Capoeira in 2007 and despite being under 18 started teach adult classes in 2015.
Macaco Branco
Free capoeirista
Traveling the world since 2014, Macaco Branco started Capoeira with Samuka and helped the group grow towards what it is today.
He is the designer of the Ginga Saroba logo as well as the t-shirts of the group.
